Lesotho children to lead the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child silver jubilee celebration.

The silver jubilee on the United Nations Convention of the Right of the Child (CRC@25) will be celebrated in Maseru, the capital of Lesotho with children showing case their media productions on children’s right related issues.

In for front will be children participating at MISA Lesotho Media and Children Project in Partnership with World Vision Lesotho and UNICEF Lesotho.

Leading to the celebration tomorrow were a number of workshop on children’s rights, introduction to basic newswriting skills and production of short films by children themselves. There were at least two magazines produce by children; Children’s Voice Magazine and In the Zone Magazine

Children’s Voice Magazine is produced by children under World Vision, Child Counselling Unit and MISA Lesotho, the In The Zone Magazine is region and has children stories from Lesotho, Namibia, South Africa and Zambia.

To night at 8pm, on Lesotho Television children participating at the project will have panel discussions on the CRC@25.
